I have tried the other two major taxi companies in Adelaide over the years with limited success. For the past year I have been using Adelaide Independent Taxis to transport my intellectually disabled son several times weekly, and their service and care has been outstanding. Chalk and cheese compared to the others.

5 star for the first driver, 1 star or nil to the second. In fact the second type of driver is the one that embarrases the entire industry, pushes more Uber and you see them everywhere.

I was forced to take a taxi for the five minute ride from the railway station to my house because my usual bus wasn’t running. A five. Minute. Trip.

I booked a taxi with Independent taxi's last night for an appointment this morning.......I am booked in hospital for surgery today and needed a taxi to take me from from my accomodation to the hospital as I live in the country and had no one to easily take me....... the taxi didn't turn up! The one positive was the man who answered my frustrated call this morning as he was genuinely trying help me but was unable to solve it as apparently it wasn't not a long enough fare even though it was fairly quiet! (Well they will never get the opportunity for a long one now!!) I then had to catch a bus, be late to my appointment and was more stressed than I should have been going into major surgery! I have now deleted this companies number from my phone and will be letting my family & friends know how poorly they operate.....hopefully they may begin to understand the importance of customer service !!

That five minute trip cost me $20 dollars. It was 5.7Km away. I was the only passenger. I will never be taking a Suburban Taxi again because of this robbery.

Honestly, I really wanted to support our taxi services. I hated the idea of Uber when it was introduced because everyone flicked to it, leaving our local taxi services in the dust. Now I understand why.

An aweful customer service on call ever! very unlucky to have an impatient response from an angry women. I can understand why people prefer Urber now…

I use taxi a lot; today I came back from airport with Independent Taxi, the driver (Caucasian) was very professional, courteous. The trip was great. Then I went out for dinner and I got another taxi, guess what? Independent! This driver (Indian), first he asked me how to get to Childers St, then prior to drop off he pulled this ripoff joke again, he didn’t have enough change to return me. I didn’t want to use their fpos machine because he would charge more on subcharge. By then I became more annoyed and angry, he wanted to call the police. Call the police for not having change back to me?
